2 Droid Eris Phones I Bought From Oceanside, Ca On Craigs List

I bought 2 phones on the 28th of july on craigs list. The person I bought them from told me they were ready to activate. Well I tried to activate them and it says they are still under his account. I lost his number and have no way of contacting him. Can you please tell me what to do. I paid money that I can't afford to blow. My number is 760=295-7877. Please help me if you can so i can contact him and straighten this out. The price was for 125 or 100 im not sure because the add has been removed.
