Gugurekas's assessment of employers' priorities may or may not be accurate, but it doesn't answer your question.

To use Craigslist for the purpose you've specified, find the prominent "post to classifieds" link (it's at the upper-left corner of the main page), drill down to the appropriate category, and fill out the simple form.

The first page to which you're directed when posting will invite you to create an account. You don't really need an account, but it'll take only a minute or so to set up, and can make things a lot easier. So do get that account.

In general, the only required posting fields are title and description. You may want to treat your post as a cover letter for your resume and either (a) link to your online resume or (b) provide an email address with which the employer could obtain your resume. Or you could include *both* the cover letter and the resume within the post. In any case, it's best not to include your regular contact information within your post, as that may bring tons of spam. You could use Craigslist's "anonymizing" function or create a special email address just for this purpose.

Craigslist isn't high on employer's lookout priority, from what I gathered. My suggestion is to get a LinkedIn account instead, and fill that out with your information.
