How Can I Delete A Craigslist Account

i recently set up an account for a wanted item-i received harassing e-mails and now want to completely delete my account with craigslist

Deleting your account (if it's possible at all) really serves no purpose, unless you think that the harassing emails came purely from Craigslist staff. Deleting your post (ad) will serve your need, in that it will stop new users from communicating with you. You delete the post by bringing up the post and clicking the "Delete this Posting" button at the top.
