Compaq Cq61 - Windows Lock System

I BOUGHT A COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ61. THE WINDOWS 7 WAS NOT ACTIVATED AND LOCKED THE SYSTEM HOW CAN I REINSTALL A NEW WINDOWS SYSTEM OR PARTION THER HARD DRIVE.

It will give you the opportunity to activate or shutdown at each reboot. Just follow the prompts and activate it.

Otherwise you'll need to get an install CD of whatever OS you want and reinstall it.

Repartitioning can be done with the free Linux based PartedMagic CD which you can download.

It will be a lot easier to just activate it.
