Greetings - It is not possible to create a text file from Coby MP828 - the option called "text" is for reading digital text files (like you would use an ebook reader). Hope I helped

There are many ways to create a Text file for example:
1. Create the file you want using any type of file such as word document then go to convertfiles.com and upload file head over to output format then select Text(.txt) hit convert then download when ready which only takes a couple of moments.
2.Create file in Notepad this should be in Accessories part of you computer Start menu.
