My Remote Sound System Controls On The Steering Wheel Don't Operate.

My remote sound system controls on the steering wheel don't operate. What do I have to test or check to know what is the problem. I live in the Netherlands, I have a Chrysler Aspen 2008, imported. The soundsystem is original (Sirius - type NTG4 RER) but transformed to European usage (navigation). VES eguipped. Or does the control no longer work because of update software for use in Europe. Als the DVD does operate anymore, can I order en replace just this part of the radio? Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards, Nico Oosterbroek
