Esp And Check Engine Light Remain On

ESP and Check Engine Lights remain on and the ESP switch doesn't cause the light to go out. At the same time the engine bucks violently when initially decellerating from freeway speed. Prior to the lights coming on, all was functioning well. All else continues working properly
