Constant Beeping Is Driving Me Crazy!!!

I have a 2006 convertible Chrysler Crossfire. I got it home from the shop where they replaced my gas cap and I had a difficult time closing the roof and latching it. It started beeping just like the safety belt beep when not belted in. My boyfriend was able to latch it with some force and the beeping never stops until I drive it for a couple of miles and then it goes off. It starts again when I slow down to stop. He has checked to see if the latch above the passenger side is broken and it is not. What can you recommend?
