Car Shutting Off

I have a 2004 PT cruiser. I've had it serviced and it only has 110,00 miles on it. The past week in the middle of driving, the car shuts off and I have to pull over, wait a few seconds and re start it back up. The check engine light is not on, I've been to a mechanic and he hooked it up to a machine thats telling him nothing is wrong with the car. What do I do? I've already replaced the battery. Please help
