My Turn Signals Stopped Working

I had the same problem, but intermittally, it seemed if I hit a bump it would work and then not work. Sometimes I would tap the cowel that houses the switch and it would work. So I took it apon my self to take it apart to fix. On disasembly I found that when someone had tried to remove the cowel that they broke the two retaining screws that are at the top. I think who ever did try to take it apart, didn't know that they needed to lift up the little grill thats at the top to get at the screws. Once I had it apart, I looked at the contacts and found two that had a triangle slits it them. I then took a utility knife and opened the gap a little bit so as to make better contact. Put it back together and then repaired the two retaining points at the top with metal clips I had made from a copper conduit clamp. Now I can go over bumps and everything works as it should. Its possible that this is the problem for you as well.
