Taillights in all cars can be a royal headache. You didn't provide much info in your posting, but I've had this same problem on a few cars, so what I'm posting may help.

First, when you replaced the bulb did you make sure it was the EXACT part? I've bought lights that looked the same but just didn't work right. My one car's got an ongoing problem with taillights blowing. I found no less than 4 bulbs from the same manufacturer that said they're the 'right' replacement , but only 1 worked. Turns out I needed the bulb with 3 tiny contacts on the base. The guy at the parts store got it wrong, too, so I didn't feel too bad.

Second, did you check the socket for even a tiny bit of corrosion before you replaced the lamp? Always clean the socket when replacing lamps & use dielectric silicon lube to prevent water, etc from getting into the socket. [Some will say you don't need it, but I've found for the buck it costs it prevents a lot of problems.]

One easy way to check a socket is to switch the lamp from the working side to the non-working side. If it lights, it's the bulb, if not, the socket. You can also test the new bulb by putting into the working side & see if it works there. If the lamp doesn't light, you know it's not the right bulb.

If the lamp you're replacing is an LED BE CAREFUL! LEDs must be handled with extreme care - touch one with bare skin & they blow from static electricity.

Did you check all your fuses as well? Today's cars have multiple fuse boxes so check your owner's manual for specs. I always keep at least one of each size fuse in my glove box for emergencies. Beats swapping out another fuse 'temporarily' & forgetting to get another until it's too late.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
