Transmission Fluid Change

I have a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. In my old, 1999 Suburban I had to release the Catalytic Converter to get the Transmission Pan off. In the new design for the 2010 Chevrolet Suburban will I have to release the converter to get the pan to drop down and change the filter and gasket or can this be done without dropping the converter?
