Tranmission Problems
i have a 1999 chevy silverado 2500 ls. it has 172k miles on it and for the past few months the transmission seems to jump into gear. it only happens when shifting from first to second gear and seems to happen most when i hit the gas then lift off before it shifts. i talked to a tranmission specialist about the problem and they said this common and the issue they seem to find is a valve in the transmission doesnt allow enough fluid to pass through to shift. they also said they have had one instance where it was a throttle positioning sensor. it is a 480 transmission. could someone please shed some light on this please. its very frustrating
