Headlights Go Off For No Reason.

THe headlights will go off on their own driving down any road no matter how rough or smooth, then after a few seconds they will come back on. It has a theft alarm system, possible culprit? You can hear a click under the dash when they go off and on.. Any ideas?

The headlight switch is going bad or the relay for the switch is going bad. The switch or relay is heating up and tripping, which shuts off the headlights. When it cools down a little, the switch or relay resets and the headlights go back on.
