Why Dont My Speedomiter In My 1995chevy S10 Pickup Work Andshiftout Of Second

my chevy s10 rode nice and smooth all the way back from the auction butmy mechanic did a tune up and checked a couple of fuses after that the speedomiter would not work plus the truck would not shift out of second gear
