Faulty Passive Keyless Entry
I've been storing my '94 Corvette. I've been letting the battery discharge and have been re-charging it and successfully restarting the car and driving it a mile or so and then back into the garage.
Today was different. I put the charger on fast charge 6 AMP and I let it charge for about 8 hours. When I went to start the car, the Passive Keyless Entry security system prevents me from starting the car. I waited the obligatory 3 minutes and still no starting.
I'm afraid that I've erased the vehicle's EPROM holding the key information....
Is that it??? If so, what kind of expense is involved in getting it going again?
