Why Can't I Connect My Canon Mg3120 Printer To My Laptop?

so i have a Dell inspiron laptop and i just bought this canon mg3120 wireless all in one printer. i follow all the steps the cd tells me to do to connect it to my wifi one of the steps says to press the wps buton for 5 seconds but the problem is that my network router(Netgear) doesnt have any buttons or the wps button like the instructions say.......i tryied connectin it with the "pin code" yet it doesnt work....idk what else to do!!!!
