New Printer
set everything but it wont print anything! it just scans

You may not have installed the most recent up-to-date software, or the correct driver may not have been installed for your computer's operating system.
Whatever the reason is, there are a few steps you can do to likely resolve your printing issue:
First:
- Disconnect the printer from computer
- Uninstall the driver that was just installed for the printer.
- Delete the printer's icon in the Printer folder (Usually found in the control panel > Devices and Printers or may just be under Printers)
- Reboot the computer
Second,
- Go to the following Canon Support link which explains how to successfully install the driver, whether using an installation disc that came with the printer or by installing through Canon's website online (additional link provided)
