My Cable Is Not Working. Is Their A Problem

If the cable box is not correctly working, Cablevision recommends resetting or restarting the device before calling into customer care for further support. When resetting the device, there are two reset options. Both perform the same function, and either can be used, based on personal preference.

Instructions

1. Reset Option 1
   • 1

     Power off the TV and Cablevision cable box. Unplug the cable box from the electrical outlet.

   • 2

     Plug the cable box back into the electrical outlet after five seconds.

   • • 3

   • Power on the cable box by pushing the "CBL" button on the remote control. The cable box will display a "Hold" message. The reset has been completed, and the cable box is ready for use when the "Hold" message is replaced by the time.

   Reset Option 2
   • 4

     Hold down the "VOL+," VOL-" and "INFO" buttons on the front of the Cablevision cable box.

   • 5

     Release all of the buttons once the cable box powers down. Once the buttons are released, the box will begin resetting. The box display screen will say "Hold" followed by "Turn On." This can take three to five minutes.

   • 6

     Push "CBL" on the remote control. The cable box is ready for use when the box displays the time.
