Starter Location 2005 Terazza

Where is the starter on a 2005 Terraza and how do you replace?

Most newer vehicles have the starter down low in the front of the engine and behind the radiator. Your starter should have two bolts holding it to the engine and two small nuts holding the starter wires to the starter.

To remove the starter, first remove the negative battery cable from the battery. That's for safety reasons, so you don't have the starter accidentally turn when you are trying to remove it. It will also guarantee that you won't get any sparks if you touch the two starter posts with a wrench. 

Next, remove the small nuts off the posts that hold the starter wires in place. Then remove the two big bolts that hold the starter to the engine. The starter should then come out of the vehicle with no problems. 

The next step is to bolt up the new starter to the engine and attach the two starter wires to the starter posts. The large bolts have to be tight, but don't overdo it. The small nuts should be tight, but be careful not to break off either of the starter posts when you do it. 

Finally, tighten the negative battery cable back on to the battery. If all your connections are tight, you vehicle should start right up.
