Check your connections to the battery and to the starter. A bad connection to either one will make your car very hard to start.

Remove the negative and positive cables from the battery to check for corrosion. If they are corroded, clean them with a wire brush or coarse sandpaper. Install them on the battery and be sure they are tight. If that was the problem, the car should start.

If that doesn't work, check the connections to the starter for corrosion. Just be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable before working on the starter. Clean the connnections with coarse sandpaper, reconnect them to the starter and try to start the car. If that's the problem, the car should start.

The last option is that your starter solenoid is bad. You will have to replace the starter, since the solenoid is part of the starter.
