1997 Buick How To Reset After Cheng Oil

Instructions
    • 1

      Turn your key to the last ignition position (as far as the key will go without starting the engine).

    • 2

      Examine the area to the left of your steering wheel to find your DIC control panel. Look closely at the buttons to get comfortable with them.

    • 3

      Press the button labeled "Gage Info" several times, until the display screen shows "Oil Life Index".

    • 4

      Press and hold the button labeled "Reset" for six seconds. Turn the key back to "Off", and then remove it from the ignition.

    • 5

      Re-insert the key and start the engine. The oil life index will be reset; the light will be turned off.
