Can I Change My Own Egr Valve

Yes, it's very easy to replace. Just a couple of bolts and a wire that plugs into the top. Just be sure to get all the old gasket off the mounting surface and use a new gasket. 

It should be located on the driver's side, probably next to or behind the intake setup. It may be close to the firewall and out of view, so you'll have to look for it. Here's what your EGR valve should look like:
