Component Location
Where is the heater core located in this vehicle?
Is it behind the dash?

The heater core is up under the dash on the passenger side. You can see the 2 metal heater core tubes in the engine compartment. They come out of the firewall and each one has a hose attached to it. You have to drain the radiator down to below the level of those tubes before you remove the hoses. Make sure the radiator is cool to the touch before attempting to drain it.
You will have to remove the glove box and probably a few other things to gain access the core. Not hard to do, but some heater cores are a pain to get to and it may take hours to remove everything in the way before you can remove the old heater core.
