Dark Smudges Are Coming Onto My Faxes.

while receiving faxes all faxes are coming in with really dark thick lines on the paper. which is making it very hard for me to understand the faxes..

The problem is most likely your drum unit. Replace the drum and the lines will probably go away. You can purchase a compatible drum on Amazon for $16.68:
