On The Top Of Bose Free Space 51 There's A Round Top Lid
The round top lid on the Bose Free Space 51.What´s its purpose? Is it possible to open this lid?

Its purpose is to safe the speaker from water The Free Space 51 speakers come with drain holes to prevent water collection in the base of the speaker from rainfall or watering. If the groundwater level in your area is high (for example, if you live close to wetlands), Free Space 51 speakers may fill with water regardless of the drainage holes. In this case, you may want to consider placing the speakers above the ground in a barrel planter for drainage. We do not recommend drilling any additional holes in the speaker. The small amount of water that does not drain should readily evaporate and should not affect the sound. Thanks for posting and have a great day.
