Smelly New Bosch Dishwasher Shv7er53uc/50

New washer smelling after first 2 uses. Checked screen which was clear but noticed undrained water sitting by drain that smelled horrible. Is this common or fixable. Could it be from improper drain hose connection not being high enough with back flow?
