Unfortunately, Assurion Insurance does not cover the SD Card. However, if the card can not be read due to the phone malfunctioning. Then this would be covered.

However, the only way to be sure, is to call Boost Mobile so they can instruct you further on how to proceed for resolving your issue.

They may suggest you come into their local facility for a tech to inspect, or they may approve you replacing your phone, or they may even advise you this is not covered by insurance.

Sorry this is not a more solid answer for you, but only Boost can make the determination on the issue.
