My Galaxcy Prevail Won't Start Up After Charging It For A Few Hours

The battery icon keeps flashing on and off but I tried pressing the power button to no avail I even left it for a few hours and nothing. Please can someone assist me.

I had the same problem, i removed the broken micro sd card and cleaned the batterey connections. its stoped blinking and started charging again.
