Voicemail Icon Missing

how do i retrieve my voicemail icon on my galaxy prevail android cell?

I have the same phone and whilst experimenting moving home screen icons, trashed my voicemail. The only way I was able to get it back is-

1. Go to contacts, select new contact, first name: voicemail

2. In the phone number box, type in your own phone number, and save the contact named (voicemail, with your own number).

3. Exit to home screen, move a home screen icon to trash if need, (just to make room for the new voicemail icon you are about to produce). Touch the bottom left button that looks like a piece of notebook paper. This should bring up { add, wallpaper, search, notifications, and settings}.

4. Select add, then select shortcuts, go down and select contact. Scroll down to the voicemail contact you just created and select it.

5. Return to homescreen and you should have a voicemail icon in the space you made or had.
