Boost Upgrade Handset Exchange

My Boost cell was recently declared obsolete due to Boost-Sprint changeover and they just sent me a new one, but it's a Blackberry (which I did not have before). Will this change how much I pay? I pay $2/day pay-as-you-go. But Sprint charges $3. Plus my research shows that unless I pay monthly, I will have volume problems with the audio. I want to leave my number and data the same. Is this possible? Thanks!
