what does protocol stack error mean mean sendind sms on blackberry?

On your device you need to go into Options > SMS and ensure the Service Center number is correct. If you dont't know the number, call your carrier to verify it or put it the right number. If are still having issues you need request a SIM replacement from your carrier.
