The earlier answer may work, but it may not. For details of various possible causes of your problem (with links to necessary parts), see https://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Vacuum-Cleaner/113---/Vacuum-cleaner-won-t-pick-up-no-suction.

Two common problems that can cause lack of suction include a clogged filter and obstruction of the brush bar.
Clogged filter:
- Remove your vacuum's filter and clean it following the instructions in the owner's manual. Allow it to dry, then reinstall it and test the vacuum.
Brush bar obstructions:
- Hair and debris can get caught on the brush bar, preventing the air flow necessary for good suction. Check the brush and clean it if necessary.
- If the problem is not a dirty brush, run the vacuum and see if the brush spins. If it does, push something lightly against the brush (such as a ruler or other hard object) to see if it stops spinning. If it stops, or slows significantly with only a little bit of pressure applied to it, you may have a problem with the motor or the belt.
- If the brush doesn't spin at all, the belt may have broken, or there could be an issue with the motor. Take the bottom cover off and inspect the belt.
