To clean the Bissell PowerFresh Scrubbing & Sanitizing Steam Mop 19405, first unplug the device and allow it to cool down. Empty any remaining water and dirt from the water tank and cleaning solution tank. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the device, being careful not to get water in any of the electrical components. Clean the mop pad by washing it in warm water with a mild detergent and allowing it to air dry. For tough stains, you can also use the scrubbing brush attachment to scrub the mop pad. Additionally, you can descale the device by filling the water tank with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar, and then running the device for one cleaning cycle. Once done, empty the tank and run the device with plain water for one cleaning cycle to remove any remaining vinegar. Make sure the device is fully dry before storing.
