Unit Won't Turn On
we have had this sweeper for approx 60 days it was working just fine until the last time we charged it. After charging the unit for hours the indicator light shows green that the battery is fully charged but when you push the on switch nothing happens. if then you replug the charger it is back to the red indicator light. the switch is making a good clicking sound when depressed

In my case, the Bissel sweeper died just after fully charging, after about a year of use. I removed the 10 screws on the bottom to gain access to the battery, which consisted of a shrink package of 6 large NiCad batteries connected in series, whose voltage was labeled at 7.2 V. I measured my battery package to be only 0.9 V, a very dead battery. This explains the no start. The battery package was an industrial type, that can not be replaced with standard NiCad batteries. If a replacement battery pack could be found, I believe the unit would work again. (7.2 V, 1300 mA)
