A: Make sure the phone is connected directly to the main telephone socket of your home and not through an extension cable, twin adaptor, box for cheaper calls or another communications device on the same line e.g. fax machine as any of these can cause this problem.
A: The caller may have withheld their number by dialling 141 Or they may be calling from a network that does not transmit the Caller ID (for example, it may be an international call).
A: You should try your phone on a friends line to determine if it is your line at fault or the phone. Make sure the test line subscribes to Caller ID
