How Come My Binatone Read Me Won't Charge?

when plug my charger in to charge up my binatone 2282 Read me it will not charge What do do?

Hi. A hardware failure most likey. Damaged charger jack or lead particularly. The battery may be the calprit on the other hand in the extreme.
