The earlier answer may work, but it may not. My experience is that such inquiries typically lead nowhere, although often consuming huge amounts of time. The manual on this unit does not state any need for a pin # or a registry procedure. It's possible your battery pack is failing causing the unit to be unable to connect to the base.
