Sony Nwz-e465 Cannot Be Detected

Sony NWZ-E465 cannot be detected in Portable Device Managers nor can it be poweroff.

I Know the Answer!

I had the same problem - player was not recognized by computer, and the device would not power off.

Reset by poking a pin in the RESET hole on the back fixed the problem.
