Bernina 1260

Bernina 1260 runs slow when foot control is pressed and stops after a few seconds even if it is pressed or released. It also do not respond to any other stitch selections e.g zig zag etc. Is it in some sort of test mode?

Check the slide speed control on the front of the machine and move to the right. Here you can set the maximum speed setting when sewing with the foot control or use it to adjust the speed when working with the start/stop button.

There may be several reasons for this:
- The speed regulator is set to slow sewing.
- The speed was reduced during setup. In order to change this, select "Setup", "Sewing settings" and "Sewing speed control" and set the desired speed.
