Beko Din15210

Hello having issues with setting the water hardness level on my beko DIN15210 I've followed the instructions to turn on the machine by pressing on off key while pressing and holding the programme key until the water hardness level stored on the machine is displayed and flashes however nothing happens . The water hardness level is not displayed and doesn't flash. Please help
