I Have The Behringer X32 Board. Please Help!! Aux Related

I need to play music through my phone via aux cord. However i connected an aux cable with a 1/4 adapter to for example aux 1. (tried aux 2,3,4) The sound quality is not good. Something is wrong. I'm thinking maybe something to do with routing or i need mono instead of stereo??
