Behringer Sx4882 Meter Bridge Malfunction
On my Behringer SX-4882 24/48 channel mixing console, on a couple of the channels and one of the sub-groups, the meter bridge LED display cuts out (goes blank) when the audio signal's level rises above the 2nd LED. This is a malfunction, and not a user error. This is a large item, and shipping to a service center would be around $300.00, so I would rather do an in-house repair. So my question is this...What may be the cause of the problem & what will it take to repair it? ie. Perhaps it is a loose ribbon cable, a weak solder joint, or a faulty resistor. But before I disconnect the hundreds of cables and uninstall the mixer from the customs made studio desk, I would like to know what I am up against, as it is quite a job just to get it ready to be serviced. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
