Bank Statements

i will be moving soon, and want to get rid of bank statements back to 1998. which years should i throw out? and is there an easier way to save them online? thank you,, sincerely, debbie buccieri

If you create an online banking account, you will be able to access your statements online. As for the paper statements, you can destroy everything prior to 2004. DO NOT just throw them away. At the very least, tear them up. Better: burn them or shred them.
