Connecting Wireless Internet Router

My sister has Atlantic Broadband phone, TV and internet. Of course, there is a Linksys SPA-2102 router along with the modem for the phone service. She got a router to get wireless internet, but when she got it up and running, her phone service went out. She needs to know how to connect the router for wireless internet along with the router and modem that is already there for the phone service. A detailed diagram would be helpful.

I work for Atlantic Broadband as a technical support representative, so hopefully I can assist you with this question! From the sound of it, your sister may have a cord in the wrong place. She should have 1 ethernet cord from her motorola cable modem that plugs into the back of the linksys spa2102 in the port labed Internet. That port should have a purple box around it. Then take another ethernet cord (you should have gotten another one with your router) and plug that cord into the port on the back of the linksys spa2102 to the port labeled Ethernet. This port has a yellow box around it. The other end of that cord should plug into your router. Most routers have 5 ethernet ports. 1 is usually seperate and labeled differently, something like modem, or internet. Plug the ethernet cord from the linksys spa2102 ethernet port to that port on the router.

If you connect it that way, you should have phone service and get internet through the router.
