Mysterious Reservation Sent To Me By E-mail

JUST RCVD BY E-MAIL NOTICE OF A FLIGHT #ABB4180 ARRIVING IN COLUMBUS ON 3/26 AT 10:40AM. I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF ANY SUCH FLIGHT OR RESERVATION WITH AMERICAN AT THIS TIME. WHERE DID THIS COME FROM AND WHY??

If you have an American Airlines Advvantage membership, sign in and check your account. 4180 seems to originate from Chicago

Contact your credit card company immediately or check online for a charge for such tickets. If you find it, have payment stopped and the charge back-billed to the party submitting the charge since it wasn't you

The email could be a phishing email, in which case you should call American Airlines and ask them if their IT people would like you to forward the email to them. 1-800-222-2377

Note: when searching for flight numbers on American Airlines, they only use a 4 digit number.
