Trying To Contact Friend On Aol

Have been trying to send email to friend's AOL account in USA but keeps sending back message from AOL POSTMASTER telling me its 'not accepting ANY MAIL' and notes that my address 'may be forged'??? What on earth is going on here? I'm not very computer literate. This is the only contact I have for this person while travelling. Any updates or ideas please.Thanks
