Help....our Computer Is Sending Offensive Emails Without Our Knowledge

April 1,7, 8 emails were shown as returned by Daemon but every address in our book was sent "bogus" emails from our address. We are trying to reach aol to see who could be sending these since we are not!

1. Is it an AOL account?

2. Whatever account it is, have you changed your password. Do that immediately.

3. Go to www.securitytango.com, print out the instructions under lets dance and follow them precisely. They are detailed and will help you if your computer has been infected.

4. Your address can be faked. i.e. someone else can send mail and pretend they are you. (scary isn't it). Look up the term "spoofed email".
