Problems Downloading Into The Amazon Appstore, To Download Games

Hello: I have a ZEKI 7" tablet, I am having lots of trouble trying to download games. I go to the Amazon appstore, type in my e-mail address and push the search glass, then it just goes back to the beginning. What am I doing wrong? I have access to wi-fi, I have been told that is all I need, but I know I am doing something wrong., Please help :(

Uninstalled Amazon.com app (not the same as Amazon Appstore), rebooted.
Installed Amazon Appstore. Link below.
Installed Amazon.com app.
Signed in to Amazon app, which worked. Went to PC and to Amazon site and pulled up My Devices and my device is now there.
You need the Amazon Appstore which is different than the Amazon shopping application. The Amazon Appstore icon may not be on your main desktop when you install it. Amazon Appstore app here. NOTE: the link on the Amazon website for the Android Amazon for tablets is incorrect

Download the Amazon Appstore app from Google Play. Once it's downloading, go to the Settings menu on your Android, then click on Security or on Applications. You'll see an Unknown Sources option. Click on the box to check it off. Go to Notifications or Downloads and click on Install. You will need to sign in with your Amazon credentials.
