If you've been calling with a repeated busy signal you've been calling the wrong number. I've called Amazon's number close to a hundred times and have *never* encountered a busy signal. The correct number is 866 216 1072. You do however have a phone alternative: Go to this page to have Amazon call you! Amazon will phone you immediately (unless you specifiy otherwise).

You actually don't need either an invoice or a phone call. Just sign in to your account and go to your order history page, and click the button to Return or Replace Items applying to the order of concern.
